Qualifications
Responsibilities• Design and implement data pipelines for real-time ingestion, transformation, and delivery of sensor and operational data.• Integrate diverse data sources such as radars, sensors, and enterprise systems into cohesive, queryable formats.• Develop and maintain data infrastructure, ensuring effective real-time streaming, batch processing, and storage solutions.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical data workflows.• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance to ensure reliability and low latency.• Participate in architectural discussions as the data platform evolves.• Work from our San Francisco or Los Angeles office at least 3 days per week. Minimum Requirements• 1-2 years of experience in software development, data engineering, or a related field.• Proficiency in Python and SQL.• Experience in building or maintaining data pipelines, ETL workflows, or backend data services.• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and handling both structured and unstructured data.• Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex data challenges. Preferred Requirements• Experience with real-time data processing technologies such as Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Flink.• Familiarity with enterprise data platforms like Palantir Foundry.• Experience with cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.• Background in defense, aerospace, or sensor systems, including radar, EO/IR, or electronic warfare.

We are in search of a Software Engineer - Data Engineering to architect and implement the data systems that make our mission possible. You will design robust data pipelines that transport sensor data in real time, integrating information from a multitude of diverse sources and establishing the foundational data infrastructure that drives innovations such as Vanquish™. This role is not just about theoretical data work; every pipeline you construct will enhance threat detection speed and improve outcomes for defenders in the field.
Collaboration will be key as you engage with hardware engineers, systems engineers, and operators to identify critical data needs and ensure efficient data flow to decision-makers. In our growth phase, you will also play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of the CHAOS Operating System, a unified data backbone that connects our engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams.
