Job Description
We are in search of a talented and dedicated full-time Software Engineer to join our expanding team. In this role, you will collaborate with the engineering team to:
- Provide support and enable internal business units through shared engineering services and functionalities, developing the tools and processes necessary for their success.
- Foster relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the organization to understand and fulfill their needs through projects you will oversee from inception to completion.
- Engage with internal customer-facing teams to enhance their efficiency and take satisfaction in making their daily operations smoother. Collaborate with product engineering to extract data that informs business decisions.
Possible deliverables for this position include:
- Implementing new developer tools to boost engineering productivity.
- Enhancing existing tools, such as CI/CD processes.
- Utilizing production data to identify potential issues.
- Developing tools for development and staging environments.
As a fully remote and early-stage company, we are looking for a highly motivated individual who can drive product advancement. The ability to think critically, work effectively with highly technical teams, and thrive in an asynchronous work environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a team of engineers to design, build, test, and document key software components.
- Take ownership of the operational services that form Tailscale’s product by building for observability, participating in incident response, and managing customer support escalations.
- Evaluate and enhance the efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.
