The Software Engineer II is responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of intricate and diverse software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, innovative algorithm development, manipulation of extensive data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems based on well-documented requirements. This role requires both independent work and collaboration within a team. You will review and test software components to ensure compliance with design specifications and document testing outcomes. Additionally, you will troubleshoot software issues and apply appropriate software development and design methodologies tailored to the development environment. You will provide insights into system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and the application of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) or Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions in lieu of new development, as well as performing requirements analysis and synthesis from system-level to individual software components.
 
This position is classified as a DevOps role.
 
Please note: Due to federal contract stipulations, U. S. citizenship and a position-appropriate security clearance are prerequisites (e.g., Active TS/SCI clearance with agency-appropriate polygraph).
