Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and evaluate enhancements to Perception subsystems, focusing on Object Detection, Tracking, Sensor Fusion, or Scene Understanding. Utilize both traditional Perception techniques and machine learning methods across multiple modalities including camera, LiDAR, and Radar. Assess and validate Perception performance against objective metrics, ensuring robustness across diverse operating conditions. Work in tandem with the autonomy team to incorporate Perception advancements into the comprehensive autonomous driving system. Keep abreast of relevant research, proposing innovative ideas to enhance the Perception stack. QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Master’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline. Previous coursework or project experience in Machine Perception, Computer Vision, or Machine Learning applied to Robotics or Autonomous systems. Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorRT. Proficient programming skills in C++ and Python. Strong mathematical foundation, including linear algebra, probability, and optimization.

In this role, you will engage with various aspects of the Perception stack, including Computer Vision, Sensor Processing, Sensor Fusion, and Machine Learning, tackling critical challenges where precision and reliability are essential.
