The Tax team at Avaloq is a vibrant assembly of Software Engineers and Business Analysts stationed across various development hubs. We adopt an agile methodology, working closely with the Product Owner and other teams to innovate and enhance tax-related functionalities. Our focus is on delivering compliant, efficient, and cutting-edge tax solutions for clients in Switzerland and Liechtenstein (CH&FL). Currently, we are engaged in initiatives aimed at optimizing tax reporting, compliance processes, and data management for a prestigious Swiss financial institution.
Our team collaborates directly with clients and partners to design and implement tax solutions that adapt to changing regulatory requirements and market dynamics. We work on projects that encompass Swiss, European, and global tax regulations, establishing ourselves as trusted Avaloq experts in the tax domain.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Proactive Collaboration: Engage with the Team Lead, Product Owner, Business Analysts, and fellow Software Engineers to synchronize development objectives and processes.
- Solution Design & Review: Create and review solution designs for new tax functionalities, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
- Client Workshops & Requirements Analysis: Participate in client workshops, assisting business analysts in gathering and interpreting tax requirements.
- Development & Maintenance of Tax Solutions: Design, develop, and maintain robust solutions within the team's tax-focused responsibilities, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency are met.
- Optimization of Existing Functionalities: Continuously enhance and refine existing tax-related functionalities to meet evolving regulatory demands.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and uphold automated tests to ensure quality standards are met across tax functionalities.
- Ownership & Accountability: Take complete ownership of your expertise area, driving progress and accountability.
- Agile Processes & Tools: Embrace an agile mindset, utilizing platforms like Jira for process tracking and issue management.
