About This RoleThis position is a hands-on systems-level engineering role that focuses on developing hardware control interfaces, constructing data pipelines, and establishing the software infrastructure essential for our quantum hardware. You will collaborate closely with fellow software engineers, FPGA engineers, physicists, and hardware engineers to methodically build the control stack for our quantum computers. Your responsibilities will include:Hardware Control Interfaces: Design software layers that interface with cameras, data acquisition systems, and various electronic devices, ensuring clean abstractions for seamless hardware component swaps. High-Throughput Data Acquisition & Storage: Develop systems capable of ingesting and archiving multiple terabytes of data daily, with pipelines for both real-time and offline analysis. Automation Tools for Experiments and Calibration: Establish infrastructure to efficiently conduct frequently performed experiments. You may be a suitable candidate if you possess experience in:C/C++ or Rust for systems programmingInterfacing with hardware devices or scientific equipmentA desire to learn about real-time systems and quantum computing
