About the job
Join Foxglove and help shape the future of robotics by building robust data infrastructure for real-world robotic operations.
As robotics transitions from theoretical research to practical applications in factories, warehouses, and field environments, engineers depend on data to diagnose failures, understand unexpected behaviors, and implement improvements.
At Foxglove, we develop tools for observability, visualization, and data management that empower robotics and autonomous systems teams to efficiently handle large volumes of multimodal sensor data from both live systems and production fleets.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated recent graduate to join our engineering team, where you will contribute to essential infrastructure for scaling robotics and autonomous systems. Your work will span the entire tech stack—from software running on devices in the field to cloud systems that manage extensive sensor data.
This position is perfect for individuals passionate about robotics who want to create the foundational tools that robotics engineers depend on daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate with robotics frameworks (e.g., ROS) to create reliable, efficient software for various devices.
- Facilitate connectivity, observability, and telemetry for devices in constrained environments.
- Ingest and process massive volumes of sensor data through batch and real-time pipelines.
- Develop systems for low-latency, random-access playback of extensive live or recorded multimodal data.
- Create features that assist robotics engineers in organizing, searching, and serving their data for training machine learning models.
- Design and manage distributed systems for collecting, transforming, and serving observability and analytics data.
- Operate in multi-cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure), including deployments in customer cloud accounts.
Our Technical Stack
- Rust
- TypeScript
- PostgreSQL
- Kubernetes
- GCP, Azure, and AWS
- Agentic coding tools (Claude Code / Cursor)
