In addition, you will engage in Model Training, Performance and Accuracy Optimization, Dataset Curation, and Product Testing.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive reviews of tax models and algorithms utilized by Nace.ai.Identify erroneous assumptions, questionable calculations, and logical inconsistencies in tax-related model outputs.Evaluate whether existing models accurately reflect regulatory requirements and practical tax rules.Provide clear and actionable recommendations for corrections and logic adjustments.Articulate the rationale behind identifying specific approaches as incorrect and the potential risks involved.Assist Product and Engineering teams in understanding tax limitations, risks, and business logic that impact the models.Engage in discussions and offer expert insights during the design of new tax-related features.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in tax consulting, audit & tax, or a related advisory capacity.Thorough knowledge of the U.S. tax system, including federal, state, and local tax regulations, with hands-on experience interpreting IRS guidelines and applying U.S. corporate and indirect tax rules in practical scenarios.Significant expertise in enterprise and individual tax regulations.Demonstrated ability to critically review models, financial, tax, and regulatory assumptions, as well as validate calculations.Strong analytical skills and structured thinking, with meticulous attention to detail.Exceptional communication skills to effectively articulate complex concepts.
