Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a talented team of software, integration, and test engineers, fostering a climate of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Product Teams and customers to translate requirements into comprehensive end-to-end solutions.
- Partner with the DevSecOps team to implement CI/CD processes for streamlined development cycles.
- Coordinate with external teams to effectively integrate software products across various environments.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters to plan, execute, and manage sprint iterations, actively engaging with the software team during development and testing phases.
- Conduct performance reviews, set professional development goals, and ensure team members are equipped with necessary resources for success.
- Collaborate with upper management to formulate strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing product capabilities and driving growth.
- Identify opportunities for maximizing software reuse and improving profitability across programs.
- Oversee development and delivery efforts while being the primary software focal point for the Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) baseline.
- Manage Software Development and Software Integration & Test (I&T) processes.
- Authorize formal build and release of the software baseline, generating and approving software CDRLs (SVD, SSDD, etc.).
- Act as the primary contact for customer-run SSEE Software Technical Review Board (TRB) and manage Software Problem Reports (SPRs).
- Drive technical discussions on priorities and critical issues while scheduling and executing SPR resolutions.
- Serve as a liaison between the engineering team and stakeholders including product management, sales, and customer support.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
