Role Overview
Databricks is looking for a Solutions Architect to join the Canada team, focusing on Digital Native customers. This position works closely with advanced data engineering and data science groups, helping shape how organizations use big data technologies.
The role reports to the Field Engineering Manager. It involves working with customers, product teams, and other customer-facing colleagues to design effective architectures and solutions using Databricks’ platform and APIs. This position provides guidance on navigating the competitive landscape, adopting best practices, and implementing strategies. Building technical advocates within customer organizations is also part of the job.
What You Will Do
- Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership, helping customers see how Databricks can solve their business problems.
- Consult on big data architectures and deliver proof of concepts for strategic projects. These projects may include data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL analysis workflows, as well as validating integrations with cloud platforms and third-party tools.
- Work alongside other Solutions Architects to share expertise and support both colleagues and users.
- Develop deep knowledge of Databricks-related open-source projects (such as Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow), promote their use, and encourage developer community contributions.
