As robotics transitions from research environments into practical applications within factories, warehouses, vehicles, and other deployments, the need for reliable data becomes critical. Engineers must analyze data when robots malfunction, behave unpredictably, or require enhancements.

At Foxglove, we provide the observability, visualization, and data infrastructure necessary for this analysis. Our innovative tools support robotics and autonomous systems teams in processing, storing, querying, replaying, and analyzing vast amounts of multimodal sensor data from both live systems and production fleets.

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to facilitate the integration of Foxglove into our clients' large-scale data ecosystems. Collaborating with engineering teams across diverse stacks and frameworks, you will design efficient data ingestion and storage workflows, troubleshoot complex performance challenges, and ensure dependable data interoperability on a large scale.

This position is perfect for individuals passionate about connecting intricate technical systems with the practical needs of customers. Your insights and expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping the evolution of Foxglove to better support data-driven growth within the robotics and autonomy landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Solution Design: Work with customer engineering teams to assess their data architecture and craft scalable ingestion, storage, and visualization workflows that meet their specific systems and requirements.

  • Demonstrations and Evaluations: Create and present technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept projects that replicate real-world data pipelines, illustrating how Foxglove integrates with current infrastructure and tools.

  • Onboarding and Integration: Assist customers from initial setup through to production deployment, ensuring smooth data flow between their systems and Foxglove for optimal performance.

  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex data-related issues, performance bottlenecks, and interoperability challenges during evaluations and initial deployments, collaborating closely with both client and internal engineering teams.

  • Product Feedback: Share structured insights and feature suggestions with Foxglove’s product team based on direct technical interactions and practical data infrastructure applications.

  • Collaboration with Sales: Act as the technical liaison in sales engagements, providing expertise to help illustrate Foxglove's value proposition.
