To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:Genuine passion for supporting children with autismPatience and compassion, with an ability to work effectively in a teamMinimum age of 18 yearsHigh school diploma or GEDWillingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, along with a Tuberculosis test (if not completed within the past year)Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background checkPhysical capability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 poundsBilingual in SpanishAdditional qualifications (not mandatory) include:Experience in roles such as Behavioral Technician, working with children with autism or learning disabilities, Teacher’s Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide

Join our dynamic team as a Center-Based Behavior Technician at Centria Autism! This is an exciting opportunity for passionate individuals who want to make a significant impact in the lives of children with autism.

In this rewarding role, you will engage in one-on-one sessions with children, implementing tailored behavior intervention plans under the expert guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will employ evidence-based techniques to foster communication, social skills, and daily living skills while helping to diminish challenging behaviors.

We seek candidates who are genuinely dedicated to helping children with autism achieve their fullest potential. Ideal candidates will possess patience, compassion, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you feel confident and prepared to support each child, even if you lack prior experience. Please note that working with children can be physically demanding; hence, you should be comfortable standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and, at times, carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
