Role overview

This role centers on maintaining and optimizing SQL database systems. The SQL Database Administrator will monitor performance, ensure stability, and address technical challenges as they arise. Collaboration with engineering teams and clear communication with stakeholders are important parts of the job.

What you will do

Monitor and maintain database performance and stability
Set performance baselines, identify issues, and improve slow queries
Develop and document technical procedures and processes
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues alongside the engineering team
Provide regular updates on project status
Work independently to develop solutions with minimal supervision

Requirements

5 to 7 years of experience in SQL Database Administration
Strong skills in SQL scripting and stored procedures
Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools
Analytical and problem-solving skills for complex database issues

Experience with Azure SQL Instances is an advantage
Bachelor’s degree (any discipline)
