Stream Data Centers seeks a SQL Server Database Administrator based in Dallas, Texas. This position focuses on maintaining the health, security, and availability of Microsoft SQL Server environments, supporting both production and non-production systems. The Database Administrator works closely with Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams to deliver stable and reliable database services.

What you will do

  • Manage operating system and SQL Server patching, as well as upgrades
  • Install and configure new SQL Server instances as required
  • Administer SQL Server Agent jobs
  • Validate and oversee backup and restore procedures
  • Tune and optimize database performance
  • Provide support for a limited number of PostgreSQL databases
  • Troubleshoot database issues and report on risks, capacity, and operational KPIs to stakeholders
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical incidents
