Role Overview: Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant supports key accounting functions at SharkNinja’s Needham headquarters. This position focuses on cost of goods sold, inventory accounting, and managing inventory-related operating expenses. The role involves preparing journal entries, summarizing financial results, analyzing the general ledger, and performing account reconciliations.
Maintaining and improving accounting processes and internal controls, in line with GAAP standards, is central to this position. The Staff Accountant works closely with a Finance team experienced in both private and public accounting, gaining exposure to the operations of a high-growth, public company.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and summarize financial results
- Conduct general ledger analysis and account reconciliations
- Focus on cost of goods sold and inventory accounting
- Oversee inventory-related operating expenses
- Support and enhance accounting processes and internal controls in compliance with GAAP
