Qualifications
In This Role, You'll:Design and implement a horizontally scalable platform capable of ingesting millions of hardware sensor data points per second. Develop robust and efficient database solutions to support real-time data reads and extensive analytics workloads. Lead innovations in data architecture by integrating the latest advancements in streaming and storage technologies, including cloud-native and diskless designs. Contribute to the establishment of engineering culture, standards, and processes. Collaborate closely with colleagues on architecture, design, code reviews, and scaling strategies. The Skillset You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field. Over 7 years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or data engineering roles. Practical experience with event-time-based stream processing or streaming SQL systems, utilizing tools such as Apache Flink, Kafka Streams, Beam, or similar technologies. Expertise in relational and time-series databases, such as PostgreSQL, Druid, Pinot, TimescaleDB, or equivalent systems. Experience with large-scale distributed systems or low-latency backend services, preferably developed in Go, Rust, or Python. Familiarity with DevOps and cloud infrastructure tools including Kubernetes, Prometheus, ArgoCD, and Terraform. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset in problem-solving.
