KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform extensive commonality assessments across product designs, processes, machinery, materials, and measurement techniques. Promote interdepartmental collaboration to effectively implement Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives.
- Develop and apply robust engineering Design of Experiments (DOEs) utilizing advanced statistical analysis for effective problem-solving and informed decision-making.
- Conduct comprehensive factory Design for Mechanical Assembly and Automation (DFMA) evaluations for Solid-State Drive (SSD) assembly by meticulously reviewing Design Packages, including design concepts, tolerance stack-up analyses, and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA). Engage in designing machinery and fixtures to enhance process efficiency.
- Create SSD assembly jigs/fixtures by innovating new concepts, performing reverse engineering, and producing mechanical drawings to facilitate daily mechanical assembly and technical staging operations.
- Manage the development and implementation of detailed Product Qualification Packages during the product development stage, encompassing specifications, packaging requirements, mechanical drawings, supplier Design for Manufacturability (DFM) guidelines, and Quality Management Plans (QMP) for each qualified product.
- Lead specialized engineering characterization efforts, spearhead strategic cost reduction initiatives, and provide essential support for factory emergency taskforce operations as necessary.
