Key Responsibilities:
- Design, enhance, and maintain SMT and mechanical assembly processes, focusing primarily on through-hole components.
- Oversee process characterization efforts, including planning and executing Design of Experiments (DOE) and conducting thorough root cause analyses to improve yield, quality, and process reliability.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and new product introduction engineering, to facilitate the successful launch of new products and ensure a seamless transition to sustaining operations.
- Assess, select, and introduce new equipment, tooling, and manufacturing technologies to boost capabilities, enhance efficiency, and optimize costs.
- Generate, uphold, and continually refine process documentation, such as work instructions, control plans, PFMEAs, and standard operating procedures.
- Offer technical support and training to production personnel and engineering staff to bolster manufacturing expertise.
- Track crucial process KPIs and lead structured continuous improvement initiatives utilizing data-driven approaches.
- Assist in internal and external customer audits, technical reviews, and process capability assessments.
- Drive process capability (CPK) enhancements to achieve a minimum CPK of > 1.67 and an aspirational target of > 2.0.
- Meet and maintain first-pass yield (FPY) improvement targets exceeding 99.5%.
- Establish and uphold comprehensive troubleshooting procedures, ensuring all process-related alarms have clear Out-of-Control Action Plans (OCAPs), and validate each OCAP's effectiveness through thorough verification.
