We at Aurora are looking for a dedicated and experienced Staff Global Supply Manager to take charge of our supply chain for intricate optical hardware and oversee the Contract Manufacturer (CM) responsible for building our systems. This vital position demands a unique combination of technical knowledge and business insight. Your primary duty will involve managing the entire supply chain for our optical subsystems, which includes free-space optics and essential components like lasers, mirrors, lenses, and photodetectors. Ensuring a dependable, top-quality, and cost-effective supply for our hardware at every phase is crucial to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our Engineering teams to grasp technology requirements and business goals. You will formulate and implement sourcing strategies for both highly specialized optical components and the Contract Manufacturer that assembles them.
  • Oversee the supply chain from the initial prototype builds to production readiness, focusing on establishing a foundation for future scalability. This will involve managing direct relationships with specialized optical suppliers and ensuring our CMs effectively manage their own sub-tier supply base.
  • Accurately capture non-recurring engineering (NRE) costs, tooling, capital assets, and forecasts to ensure optimal resource allocation.
