We are in search of a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Compute Product Engineering team within the Hardware Product Engineering (HPE) group.
The HPE Mechanical Design team is responsible for developing all custom hardware modules in the Aurora Driver Kit (ADK), which includes Compute modules, Sensor Pods, and Lidar systems. This team collaborates cross-functionally with Electrical Engineering, layout, CAE, Reliability, EMC, NPI, Operations, and other R&D teams to deliver robust, scalable electro-mechanical solutions that power the Aurora Driver. Our involvement begins at the earliest stages of product scoping and technology exploration and extends through mass production in collaboration with our manufacturing partners.
Position Overview
As a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer, you will spearhead the development of our next-generation Aurora Driver Module, which integrates our Primary Computer and Electronic Control Units for our autonomous vehicle platform. You will be responsible for the mechanical architecture from concept to production, ensuring robust, manufacturable designs for compute hardware utilized in safety-critical environments. Additionally, you will provide ongoing support and maintenance for products throughout their lifecycle.
