We are currently seeking a Staff Power Electronics Engineer who will take charge of developing cutting-edge electronic systems for our diverse micromobility platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Lead power conversion PCBA development, ensuring successful design, development, validation, and production ramp-up.
Specialize in the design of highly integrated and cost-effective systems operating within the 48–100 V and 1–10 kW peak power range.
Utilize a strong understanding of common sensors in actuation systems, including encoders, resolvers, Hall-effect sensors, and inductive sensors.
Develop schedules, manage development phases, allocate test resources, and oversee contract manufacturer end-of-line activities.
Collaborate with systems engineering to define and validate product requirements, including cost, performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct simulations, analyses, and validations of critical circuits, including worst-case circuit analysis.
Specify and select essential components, and engage in the characterization, schematic capture, and layout of power electronics, controls, and auxiliary circuits.
Work alongside the mechanical engineering team to select, design, and validate sensors.
Partner with firmware and controls teams to ensure seamless hardware integration and effective control strategies.
Collaborate with functional safety experts to identify critical diagnostics and protection circuits, delivering robust design implementations.
Compile DFMEA, PFMEA, and validation plans to ensure product reliability.
Engage in hands-on integration and testing activities, collaborating with test peers and external resources such as certification labs and contract manufacturers.
Assist with thermal, EMC, reliability, and NVH testing processes.
