About the job
At Databricks, we are dedicated to empowering data teams to tackle the world's most challenging issues — from transforming transportation innovations to fast-tracking medical advancements. Our mission is realized through the development and management of the world's leading data and AI infrastructure platform, enabling our clients to harness deep data insights for business improvement. Founded by engineers with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, we eagerly embrace technical challenges, whether it's creating next-generation UI/UX for data interaction or scaling our services across millions of virtual machines. Our journey is just beginning.
About the Team:
The AI Platform team is responsible for creating the foundational infrastructure that facilitates large-scale machine learning and AI on Databricks. Our offerings cover the entire ML lifecycle — from feature engineering and model training to model serving and monitoring — allowing data and AI teams to confidently build, deploy, and manage production ML systems. We delve into some of the most technically demanding aspects of the platform, including recommendation systems, real-time inference, large-scale distributed training, LLM infrastructure, vector search, and feature stores.
Our goal is to simplify the process for enterprises to operationalize AI. We achieve this through a unified, governed, and high-performance AI platform that integrates seamlessly with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform — connecting MLflow, Unity Catalog, Model Serving, Vector Search, Feature Engineering, LLM, and Agent infrastructure into a streamlined experience. You will be part of a team that delivers products utilized by thousands of the world's most advanced data and AI organizations.
In this role, you will shape the vision and roadmap for AI platform product areas, defining how customers construct, train, deploy, and monitor AI and ML systems on Databricks. You will collaborate with engineering teams to provide a cohesive and robust pathway from experimentation to production.
