Role overview

The Staff Program Manager is based in San Mateo, CA, and leads major initiatives with game publishers and partners at Sony Interactive Entertainment. This position connects business strategy to execution, guiding programs from early planning through completion. Success in this role depends on strong business judgment, structured problem-solving, and the ability to bring clarity and alignment to complex projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Shape program strategy, guide decisions, and plan execution for large and influential projects throughout all development and delivery phases.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to align goals, clarify trade-offs, and build shared accountability for results.
  • Identify and address critical risks, dependencies, and decision points while balancing business priorities and operational needs.
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels, building strong partnerships across teams to support complex programs with competing demands.
  • Apply business context, data, and delivery metrics to set priorities, evaluate trade-offs, and connect program work to measurable outcomes.
  • Enhance delivery by refining program processes, reporting, and operational routines to improve predictability, transparency, and decision quality.
  • Communicate program status, risks, recommendations, and strategic impacts clearly to teams and senior leadership.
