Aurora is actively seeking a highly qualified and experienced Staff Software Engineer to become a vital member of our team, focusing on the development of our core Autonomy Framework.

The autonomy frameworks team is responsible for the robotics middleware that underpins the Aurora Driver. In this pivotal role, you will engage in projects that enhance the performance, determinism, and efficiency of our Autonomy and Simulation applications. This is a unique opportunity to work on a critical component of our self-driving technology, directly influencing the safety and reliability of our autonomous vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and validate Aurora's Core Framework, operational on both our vehicle and cloud infrastructures.
  • Participate in cross-team initiatives that have a broad impact across software and hardware domains.
  • Propose innovative features and draft technical design documents aimed at enhancing our platform's efficiency, robustness, and scalability.
  • Optimize the productivity of engineering teams across the organization and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the highest levels of performance and reliability.
