About the job
A new era in space exploration is emerging, and True Anomaly is on the forefront of this revolution. We are seeking talented and ambitious individuals to develop cutting-edge technology that addresses the forthcoming challenges in engineering, manufacturing, and operational aspects of space security and sustainability.
OUR MISSION
The peaceful utilization of outer space is vital for the ongoing prosperity of our planet, encompassing fields from communications and finance to navigation and logistics. At True Anomaly, we create pioneering technology at the crossroads of spacecraft, software, and AI, enhancing the capabilities of the United States, its allies, and commercial partners while ensuring access to space and sustainability for all.
OUR VALUES
- Be the offset. We cultivate asymmetric advantages through creativity and innovation.
- What would it take? We question assumptions to achieve ambitious outcomes.
- It’s the people. Our team is our strongest asset, and we thrive together.
YOUR MISSION
Software serves as the central nervous system for True Anomaly's engineering and product initiatives. It connects military objectives, theoretical astrodynamics, and the control of spacecraft and ground systems, both human and autonomous, across time and space. We are looking for an outstanding Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to steer the technical trajectory and advancement of our spacecraft modeling, simulation, and distributed ground control platform across every layer of the stack.
This high-impact, strategic leadership role will involve defining and driving the technical roadmap that encompasses both frontend and backend systems, leading cross-functional initiatives that connect engineering, product, and operations, and laying the architectural groundwork that will support the scalability of our platform for years to come. You will identify crucial technical investments, advocate for them throughout the organization, and oversee their implementation. Your role will not just involve building features; you will influence product direction, shape company objectives, and mentor engineers who will develop the next generation of our platform. When you identify systemic issues that impact speed, reliability, or quality across the stack, you will diagnose root causes, foster consensus on solutions, and instigate organizational change to resolve them.
Prior experience in building space ground systems or aerospace is not a requirement. You will lead critical, greenfield initiatives that hold strategic importance for the company and possess the potential to fundamentally transform our operations.
