Role - Staff Software Engineer: Industry Assurance Platform
About the Challenge
In the face of growing cybersecurity threats, traditional disaster recovery strategies often fall short. When a ransomware attack disrupts not just a single server but the entire network of healthcare suppliers and partners, the consequences can be dire. We are creating a robust, industry-wide trading platform that maintains high availability during system failures.
Your Responsibilities
We are in search of a proficient Staff Software Engineer who will take on a pivotal technical leadership role within our engineering team. This position is designed for seasoned technologists adept at addressing intricate engineering challenges, promoting architectural excellence, and enhancing the technical capabilities of the team.
As a Staff Engineer, you will serve as a senior individual contributor, guiding technical direction, mentoring fellow engineers, and working collaboratively across various functions to develop scalable, reliable, and high-quality software solutions. While this role does not involve direct personnel management, it carries substantial technical ownership and influence within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance software systems; lead complex technical projects across multiple teams or systems.
- Hands-on Development: Actively contribute to the codebase through design, development, code reviews, and performance enhancements; advocate for modern practices such as automation, observability, and resilience.
- Mentorship: Uphold high standards in coding, testing, documentation, and system design; nurture technical talent by sharing expertise.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Operations, and other stakeholders to align business requirements with technical solutions; effectively communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Execution & Delivery: Lead initiatives during planning, estimation, and execution phases.
