Key ResponsibilitiesEngage with external customer brands to align desired vehicle behaviors with technical architecture limitations, ensuring that the core vehicle power moding software is adaptable for a diverse range of vehicles without necessitating unique modifications for each brand. Oversee the complete technical definition of the vehicle power moding system; collaborate with the Technical Project Manager (TPM) to accurately scope and prioritize the technical roadmap in alignment with vehicle program timelines. Lead the development of arbitration logic to manage competing power requests from various subsystems, ensuring the vehicle consistently maintains a safe and predictable power state. Establish software interfaces and APIs for the power moding service, ensuring smooth communication over an Ethernet backbone with other zonal controllers. Role overview

The Staff Systems Engineer - Power Modes will lead the design and implementation of power management strategies for current and future vehicle electrical platforms. This role emphasizes energy efficiency, reliability, and performance across multiple vehicle programs. The engineer will play a key part in developing and validating power management systems that support the evolving needs of electric vehicles.

  • Design and roll out vehicle power management strategies for next-generation electrical platforms
  • Drive development and validation of power management systems to improve energy efficiency and reliability
  • Collaborate with external brand partners and internal cross-functional teams to ensure technical requirements are met

Requirements
