Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesLead and execute R&D fabrication processes including slurry mixing, coating, calendering, cutting, stacking, pouch sealing, and testing. Operate, maintain, and optimize an array of equipment (both manual and automated), such as gloveboxes, coaters, mixers, and diagnostic tools. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of work orders, SOPs, and documentation protocols. Coordinate material preparation, staging, and transport throughout the lab. Drive troubleshooting activities, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures in collaboration with engineering teams. Maintain high standards for lab organization, safety, and compliance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues. Lead cross-training initiatives and mentor junior technicians across various battery fabrication processes. Facilitate effective communication across shifts and with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operational execution. Collect, analyze, and report process and test data to support R&D decision-making and process enhancements. Proactively identify and initiate process improvements to boost yield, throughput, and reproducibility in R&D operations.
