Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical fabrication, including component assembly, welding, machining, and use of hand tools. Preferred Skills and Experience:Proficient in reading mechanical and engineering drawings with a working understanding of GD&T. Experience with automated production systems and tooling design. Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Starlink Development Technician

The Starlink team is at the forefront of innovation, fabricating and assembling prototype systems, production tooling, and automation equipment essential to our expanding consumer electronics business. As a Development Technician, you will collaborate with engineers to execute transformative projects that enhance and expand our Starlink product assembly lines, from initial development phases to high-volume production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate electromechanical production and testing systems utilizing various tools and equipment while collaborating with engineering teams to devise effective solutions.
  • Employ creativity in fabricating components through diverse equipment, including mills, lathes, welding machines, brakes, presses, and CNC processes.
  • Assemble intricate integrated assemblies, encompassing mechanical precision assembly, high/low voltage wiring, and pneumatic systems.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to complete fabrication processes for critical tooling and equipment.
  • Support the operational integrity of the development shop by promoting efficient workflow, safety, cleanliness, and inventory management of tools and materials.
  • Implement and advocate for the 5S principles to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
  • Encourage innovation and challenge the status quo to contribute towards team objectives.
