This freelance role centers on designing and validating advanced computational statistics challenges. The work involves creating original problems that reflect real mathematical research, often requiring Python programming and use of libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, or Sympy. Assignments emphasize computationally intensive tasks that go beyond manual calculation, and often draw from authentic research questions or practical scenarios in mathematics.

What you will do

  • Create computational statistics problems that mirror real research.
  • Design challenges solvable with Python, using libraries like Numpy, SciPy, or Sympy.
  • Develop problems requiring significant computation, not feasible to solve by hand.
  • Write tasks involving advanced reasoning in number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis.
  • Base problems on genuine research or practical mathematical situations.
  • Validate solutions in Python with standard mathematical libraries.
  • Document problems clearly and provide verified answers.

Requirements

  • Degree in Statistics or a related discipline.
  • Strong Python skills for numerical validation. Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar tools is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in applied, research, or teaching roles.
  • Excellent written English at C1 level or above.
  • Professional certifications (such as CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience with international or applied projects are advantageous.
