About the Role
toloka-ai, through the Mindrift platform, offers project-based freelance work focused on AI system testing, evaluation, and improvement. This is not a permanent employment arrangement. Projects are remote and based in Israel.
What You Will Do
- Create original computational statistics challenges that mirror real mathematical research.
- Design problems that require Python programming to solve, using libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, or Sympy.
- Develop computationally intensive problems that cannot be solved manually within a reasonable timeframe.
- Write problems involving advanced reasoning in areas like number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis.
- Base problems on authentic research questions or practical mathematical scenarios.
- Validate solutions in Python with standard mathematical libraries.
- Document problem statements clearly and provide verified answers.
Who We’re Looking For
- Degree in Statistics or a related field.
- Strong Python skills for numerical validation. Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other relevant libraries is also welcome.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles.
- Excellent written English (C1 level or above).
- Professional certifications (such as CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience with international or applied projects are a plus.

Time Commitment
During active project phases, tasks typically require 10 to 20 hours per week. Actual workload may vary depending on project needs and is not guaranteed.
Compensation
Contributors can earn up to $39 per hour, depending on experience and pace. Rates may differ between projects based on their complexity and requirements. Other projects on the platform may offer different earning potential.
