Required Qualifications:A High School Diploma or equivalent qualification. Certification from an accredited sterile processing technical program (CRCST, CBSPD, or equivalent).3-5 years of sterile processing experience in an acute care environment. Previous leadership or supervisory experience in acute care sterile processing. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in supporting high-volume surgical services. In-depth knowledge of accreditation standards and infection prevention practices. Proven leadership and staff development capabilities.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for the efficient management of our hospital-based Central Sterile Processing (CSP) department. Your expertise will support surgical services by ensuring compliance with sterilization protocols and optimizing operational workflows.

The perfect candidate will possess extensive acute care sterile processing experience, proven supervisory skills, and a robust knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the sterile processing department.

  • Supervise, mentor, and enhance the skills of sterile processing technicians and support staff.

  • Ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.

  • Oversee the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution processes of surgical instruments and supplies.

  • Assist in the creation, evaluation, and updating of department policies and procedures.

  • Monitor quality assurance practices and maintain precise documentation.

  • Collaborate with surgical services leadership to ensure efficient case flow and instrument availability.

  • Maintain and verify the operational integrity of sterilization equipment.

  • Foster a safety-oriented culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
