AECOM is looking for a talented Structural Engineer with a deep background in hyperscale and colocation data center design to join our expanding Data Center division. The successful candidate will possess exceptional technical skills in large-scale concrete and steel structures, a solid history of successfully managing fast-paced technology and industrial projects, and a commitment to promoting low-carbon and resilient design methodologies.

This role offers a flexible remote working arrangement and can be performed from various locations within the U. S. where AECOM maintains an office.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role with potential for significant career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural design and analysis for various data center buildings, including hyperscale and colocation facilities.
  • Create design documentation for tilt-up concrete panels, precast structures, steel framing systems, and deep and shallow foundations.
  • Coordinate design outputs with architectural, civil, MEP, and construction teams to ensure alignment with project goals and client specifications.
  • Prepare construction documents, specifications, and calculations while ensuring quality, code compliance, and technical excellence.
  • Mentor and provide technical support to junior engineers and designers.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and review authorities to resolve technical inquiries and provide design clarifications.
  • Assist in business development, proposal writing, and conceptual structural designs for new projects.
