QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent. At least 3 years of experience as a bridge or civil engineer. Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken. Experience in producing construction documents and structural drawings for infrastructure projects in accordance with the Swedish Transport Administration's regulations. Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with technical specifications as part of tender documentation for construction contracts according to AB04.Experience in working within a general contracting environment. Experience working on projects with resources based in other countries.

AECOM is currently seeking a Structural Engineer for Infrastructure Projects to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will collaborate with both our local and international colleagues within the construction engineering domain. You will engage in a variety of projects ranging from smaller local assignments related to infrastructure works to being part of large multidisciplinary projects (both locally and internationally) alongside our design team. As a Structural Engineer, you will work closely with our local Technical Managers, assisting them in planning, coordination, requirements management, and quality assurance, including supporting them as an Assistant Technical Manager.

We are currently engaged in some of the most exciting and significant infrastructure projects in Sweden, focusing on roads and railways. Our environment is strongly international, and English is used daily as we collaborate with colleagues around the world, primarily in Europe.

Responsibilities for the Structural Engineer role at AECOM include:

  • Identifying, communicating, and applying project and technical specific requirements while supporting Technical Managers in monitoring compliance within the project team.

  • Supporting Technical Managers in meetings and coordinating the construction team.

  • Contributing to the identification of project changes and estimating the scope of changes in both time and budget.

  • Creating effective workflows with design and documentation production alongside the design team.

  • Assisting Technical Managers with reviews and ensuring that quality assurance processes are followed and documented.
