About the job
Are you a motivated student eager to gain valuable experience at one of the Netherlands' premier law firms with an international perspective? Do you have a keen interest in arbitration? If so, our student traineeship presents an ideal opportunity for you to immerse yourself in De Brauw's dynamic culture and environment!
Your Role as a Student Trainee
This traineeship offers a unique chance to familiarize yourself with our firm and its practices. You will engage in legal research for ongoing cases and share an office with one of our attorneys, providing you with the opportunity to ask questions and accompany them to court hearings and client meetings. You will learn directly on the job through regular interactions with a partner and a senior associate, as well as collaborating with colleagues from various practice groups. Additionally, you will have the chance to participate in our comprehensive educational and social programs, tailored to both practice-specific and firmwide initiatives.
The Practice
Our esteemed Arbitration practice operates globally, transcending international borders, legal systems, and sectors. We assist in institutional, ad hoc, and investor-state arbitrations, focusing on where we can create significant impact. From energy and technology sectors to financial institutions and governments, our clients trust us with their most complex and strategic cases. Successful arbitration is not just about legal prowess; our team collaborates closely with clients and industry professionals to thoroughly understand every issue and opportunity, allowing us to represent our clients with conviction and legal pragmatism.
At De Brauw, the Arbitration and Corporate Litigation practice groups function as a cohesive unit. As a student trainee, you may have opportunities to work on matters across both areas, given the substantial overlap in our work. While you may express a preference for Arbitration or Corporate Litigation during the application, we typically consider trainees for both fields, ensuring a well-rounded experience and exposure to a diverse array of complex disputes.
