Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver an Engaging Curriculum: Lead small classes in math using our specially designed advanced curriculum and materials.
- Foster Student Engagement: Actively involve students through interactive learning experiences and student-led discussions.
- Effective Classroom Management: Skillfully manage classroom dynamics with up to 16 students.
- Assess and Provide Feedback: Evaluate student assignments and offer constructive feedback.
- Build Meaningful Relationships: Connect with students and their families to positively influence their educational journey.
- Inspire a Love for Learning: Cultivate critical thinking and a passion for mathematics among students.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A degree in a STEM-related field or education is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in math content.
- Experience in teaching or tutoring students.
- Preferred experience in classroom teaching at the K-12 level.
Additional Information:
A formal teaching credential is not necessary for this role.
Schedule:
- We offer multiple two-week camps throughout the summer, from June to August.
- Camps run Monday to Friday for 3 hours each day, with both morning and afternoon sessions available.
Available Camps:
- June 15-26, 1-4 PM
- July 6-17, 12:45-3:45 PM
Location:
- This position is in-person at our Irvine campus.
- Candidates must reside in Irvine or the surrounding area and be able to commute to our location.
Compensation:
- $36 per hour
