We are looking for an experienced Supplier Development Engineer to enhance our Purchasing and Supplier Quality functions. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with the Purchasing team to assess both current and prospective supplier capabilities, facilitate onboarding for new suppliers to our approved list, formulate supplier improvement strategies, and optimize delivery and cost efficiency across the supply chain. Ideal candidates will demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to driving supplier development to achieve excellence in delivery, quality, and pricing.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Purchasing team in sourcing components that align with supplier competencies and capacities.
  • Provide expert insights into manufacturing processes for parts, assemblies, tools, and equipment.
  • Conduct on-site supplier evaluations, including readiness reviews, to assess their capacity and capability for current and future work.
  • Lead initiatives for product enhancements to improve manufacturability, minimize risks, and reduce costs.
  • Support the Purchasing and Supplier Quality teams in crafting and implementing product development and corrective action plans, ensuring timely delivery of compliant products.
  • Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics to uncover trends and identify performance gaps, driving improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a technical liaison among purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to provide necessary technical support.
  • Collaborate with the Supplier Quality Team to implement effective corrective actions to address complex manufacturing issues and root causes.
  • Exhibit innovation, technical proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, self-motivation, and boldness.
  • Work collaboratively across BETA (design, supply chain, manufacturing, and aftermarket) to ensure timely part production.
  • Support suppliers in refining and updating their production processes, procedures, equipment, tools, and layouts.
