This pivotal role involves proactively securing essential components, materials, and services that are vital for our product offerings. Responsibilities include forging new supplier relationships and sourcing partnerships that enhance both new and existing products, focusing on technological advancement, cost efficiency, and quality enhancement. This role necessitates extensive collaboration across various internal functions to assess supplier opportunities, ensuring that commercial agreements, intellectual property rights, and statements of work are meticulously defined prior to implementation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFormulate and implement commodity strategies for cables and harnesses, prioritizing cost reduction, quality enhancement, and supply chain robustness.Oversee the complete lifecycle of delivering high-quality components at optimal costs.Serve as the sourcing authority for cables and harnesses manufacturing.Lead the RFI/RFQ/RFP process and strategic sourcing initiatives for cables and harnesses.Manage relationships with external Contract Manufacturers, ensuring supply continuity, risk mitigation, cost negotiations, and seamless transition from NPI to MP operations.Collaborate with the Engineering team and Contract Manufacturers to influence technical design specifications and tailor product and manufacturing needs.Conduct comprehensive analyses of quote submissions based on detailed cost breakdowns, leveraging data-driven insights to inform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) decisions.Work alongside cross-functional teams to meet prototype requirements, adhere to build milestones, and spearhead sourcing activities.Impact Contract Manufacturers’ manufacturing processes and tech investment decisions.Negotiate pivotal agreements with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality standards, and service terms.
