Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Support Systems Engineering Lead to be an integral part of the Omen team at our Costa Mesa headquarters. Omen represents Anduril’s pioneering hover-to-cruise autonomous air vehicle (AAV), designed to achieve the endurance, payload capacity, and mission versatility akin to larger aircraft while being completely runway-independent. Operating from diverse locations such as ship decks, beaches, or remote clearings, Omen offers unparalleled flexibility for both defense and civilian applications. Our commitment to innovation is exemplified by securing a mass-production contract for 50 systems, a significant investment that propels our production capabilities and accelerates the development of future systems.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of new aircraft, applying practical Support Systems engineering principles to enhance overall system capabilities and ensure user requirements are fulfilled in complex operational contexts. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, planning, and design of comprehensive Support Systems, which encompass deployment, supply chain, operations, maintenance, and more.
- Recruit, mentor, and cultivate a hands-on engineering team focused on effective Support System solutions.
- Engage with customer stakeholders to define a comprehensive operational concept, ensuring that all operational requirements are well understood.
- Conduct 'Day In The Life Of' analyses to influence functional decomposition that will shape the Air Vehicle and Mission Systems design.
- Design, fabricate, and test transport and handling equipment for Air Vehicles and Mission Systems, facilitating rapid deployment in diverse operational scenarios.
- Establish relevant standards and interfaces for supply systems, including fueling and charging mechanisms, that will inform design specifications.
- Utilize emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities and ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of innovation.
