Role overview The Senior Project Surveyor leads the delivery of survey projects from initial planning through completion. This role manages team coordination, maintains technical standards, and mentors junior staff. Direct interaction with clients and identifying opportunities to broaden service offerings are also key aspects of this position. Main responsibilities Interpret engineering plans and CAD files to prepare construction staking calculations. Produce mapping deliverables such as boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, plats, and legal descriptions. Post-process field data gathered with total stations, GPS, levels, 3D laser scanners, and unmanned aerial systems. Create 3D models of sites and structures for a range of stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and contractors. Travel to job sites and other BKF offices as required by project needs.
