Qualifications

Qualifications:Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Geography, Geospatial Information Sciences, or a related field, or a minimum of three years of progressive survey field experience. Experience with GPS and 3D laser scanning is advantageous. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, interpret, and analyze various documents including safety regulations, project budgets, and jurisdictional requirements. Proficiency in reading deed descriptions, title reports, zoning reports, survey plats, DOT plans, engineering drawings, and aerial topographic mapping. Strong ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively. Familiarity with mathematical concepts such as trigonometry and geometry.

Timmons Group is actively seeking applications from skilled Survey Technicians and Senior Survey Technicians to join our team for future opportunities. As a Survey Technician, you will play a vital role in applying the principles, methods, and techniques of land surveying through the performance of the following duties:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting of subdivision plats, boundary surveys, and easement plats.
  • Preparation of parcel descriptions.
  • Creation of staking maps for subdivisions, infrastructure enhancements, and site plans.
  • Development of cutsheets and construction take-offs.
  • Drafting topographical surveys and generating digital terrain models.
  • Conducting limited courthouse research.
  • Submitting plats for jurisdictional approval.
  • Collaborating closely with the project manager and group leader.
  • Field substitution as needed.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
