Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years of experience in information security or a closely related field. In-depth knowledge of continuous monitoring (ConMon) systems and processes. Proficiency in utilizing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools. Experience with various vulnerability assessment tools and techniques. Strong understanding of network security protocols and industry best practices. Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience in conducting security audits and assessments. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are preferred. Thorough knowledge of regulatory compliance within the information security domain.

Join our dynamic cybersecurity team as a System Security Analyst specializing in Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) in Herndon, Virginia. We are looking for a meticulous and analytical professional to oversee the implementation and maintenance of our continuous monitoring systems, safeguarding the integrity and security of our organization’s information assets.

  • Design, implement, and manage robust continuous monitoring processes and systems.
  • Perform regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Utilize SIEM tools and other advanced security technologies to analyze security events and incidents.
  • Maintain and update the monthly Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), inventory, and other relevant continuous monitoring deliverables.
  • Generate and maintain security metrics and reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement effective security controls and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats and security trends to continually enhance our organization’s security posture.
  • Engage in incident response activities and assist in the development of incident response plans.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable security standards and regulations, including NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members on security-related issues.
  • Deliver security awareness training to employees, fostering a culture of security within the organization.
