Join our dynamic cybersecurity team as a System Security Analyst specializing in Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) in Herndon, Virginia. We are looking for a meticulous and analytical professional to oversee the implementation and maintenance of our continuous monitoring systems, safeguarding the integrity and security of our organization’s information assets.
- Design, implement, and manage robust continuous monitoring processes and systems.
- Perform regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- Utilize SIEM tools and other advanced security technologies to analyze security events and incidents.
- Maintain and update the monthly Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), inventory, and other relevant continuous monitoring deliverables.
- Generate and maintain security metrics and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement effective security controls and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Stay informed about emerging threats and security trends to continually enhance our organization’s security posture.
- Engage in incident response activities and assist in the development of incident response plans.
- Ensure compliance with applicable security standards and regulations, including NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members on security-related issues.
- Deliver security awareness training to employees, fostering a culture of security within the organization.
