We are currently on the lookout for a passionate Systems Integration Engineer to join our dedicated team in Reston, VA. In this pivotal role, you will engage with our mission-critical customers and contribute to the success of our engineering efforts. Your responsibilities will include facilitating customer meetings, participating in quarterly Agile Development Planning, and providing essential technical support for the planning, design, testing, integration, configuration, and delivery of software services across development, testing, and production environments. Our projects leverage AWS cloud services and involve the modernization of Elastic, RHEL, WSUS, as well as cross-domain integration and automation solutions. You will play a key role in enhancing and supporting a suite of 10 core applications and data services utilized by various Government Agencies.
The Systems Integration Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing new capabilities, maintaining existing infrastructure and applications, and integrating new data sources for secure mission systems. Key tasks include installation, configuration, and collaboration with cloud and database engineers to automate resource provisioning, validating documentation, and creating/updating scripts for cloud and Linux-based operations. You will also be involved in developing test data, conducting system tests, and documenting all stages of the application development life cycle. Continuous monitoring and management of system resources, including CPU, storage, and other cloud resources, will be essential to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. As a team expert, you will oversee the design, setup, configuration, maintenance, and administration of environments such as Elastic, WSUS, and Red Hat Satellite Servers.
