Role Overview
We are seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to operate at the intersection of software, hardware, and flight systems.
This role is crucial for integrating and launching the drone system from start to finish — adopting a comprehensive perspective across software, hardware, and flight systems, employing practical testing and experimentation to troubleshoot issues, comprehend system behavior, and enhance performance in real-world scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate software, hardware, and flight subsystems within the drone platform
- Conduct system bring-up, testing, and validation in both lab and field environments
- Troubleshoot system-level issues across software, firmware, and hardware
- Analyze logs, telemetry, and test data to pinpoint the root causes of failures
- Design and execute experiments to gain insights into system behavior and enhance performance
- Validate system performance under both normal and degraded conditions
- Assist in flight testing and the examination of real-world performance issues
- Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and flight science teams to boost system performance
- Document system behavior, test outcomes, and insights to aid in repeatability and comprehension
- Contribute to safety validation by identifying risks and supplying test evidence to certification teams
