About the job
Systems Software Integration Intern
Join us to build, deploy, and launch innovative autonomous drone systems.
If you have a passion for drones, Linux, and the challenge of making intricate systems function effectively in real-world scenarios, this is your opportunity to turn that passion into a professional career.
At SE3 Labs, you will not merely simulate autonomy; you will be instrumental in bringing it to life in the skies.
About SE3
SE3 Labs specializes in developing Spatial AI by merging advanced 3D computer vision with large language models (LLMs). Our objective is to empower machines to comprehend and navigate physical spaces, fueling the evolution of autonomous systems in sectors such as infrastructure, robotics, and defense.
To realize this vision, we are creating high-performance UAV platforms that incorporate state-of-the-art AI computing, sensor technologies, and communication systems.
Role Overview
As a Systems Software Integration Intern, you will operate at the dynamic intersection of AI, embedded systems, and flight hardware.
Your primary mission will be to ensure our autonomous drone payloads are fully functional, guiding them from initial programming to successful flight.
You will engage directly with Nvidia platforms, onboard computing architectures, radio systems, and deployment workflows. Your contributions will significantly enhance the speed and reliability of our next-generation autonomous system testing and deployment.
This will not be a passive internship; you will take ownership of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Nvidia Jetson Systems: Flash, configure, and optimize Jetson devices (L4T / Ubuntu) for autonomous deployment.
Software Deployment: Prepare and validate software stacks for real-world UAV integration.
Datalink & Telemetry: Configure and test communication systems for stable drone operations.
Integration Workflows: Enhance reproducibility and automation in our deployment and testing pipelines.
Advanced Topics (based on skills): Explore ROS2 integration, Docker environments, networking optimization, performance debugging, or systems automation.
Start date: As soon as possible.
Collaborate closely with our AI, embedded, and flight teams to ensure seamless functionality both in theory and in practice.
