At Waabi, we engineer highly autonomous vehicles that seamlessly integrate sensors, computing, and actuators into a base vehicle. This platform serves as the foundation for our Waabi Driver, which utilizes cutting-edge generative AI algorithms to rapidly develop and scale autonomous trucking solutions. Ensuring the safety of this platform for both supervised and driverless operations demands robust systems engineering practices, including tracing product requirements to system requirements, tests, and test executions, to construct a rigorous safety case. In this role, you will collaborate with the Platform Systems Engineering team and work cross-functionally with Hardware, Software, and Operations to define and implement effective verification methods through the development and execution of tests.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Crafting verification plans based on established requirements
- Developing and documenting comprehensive test procedures
- Conducting tests with support from fellow test engineers
- Creating fault injection tools and techniques
You will also be responsible for:
- Overseeing the creation, documentation, alignment, and verification of autonomous platform requirements at Waabi, defining efficient evaluation methods
- Serving as the primary point of contact for platform-specific verification methods and tests, providing updates and addressing potential obstacles with stakeholders at all levels
- Identifying necessary enhancements for our advanced simulator to effectively verify all aspects of the autonomous platform under varied conditions, collaborating with other teams to implement these improvements, including HIL/SIL verification methods
- Managing the documentation and tracking of tests and their executions in alignment with company project milestones
- Implementing tools and methodologies to optimize and automate Waabi's platform verification processes where applicable
- Collaborating with external partners to ensure the delivery of a verified and validated safe autonomous platform, supporting a strong safety case for complete self-driving operations.
