As a Tableau Developer in Operational Reporting, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that empower leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions. You will be responsible for crafting and executing queries, presenting insights through detailed reports, and creating dynamic data visualizations that measure the performance of various business processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong grasp of the business technology landscape, exceptional analytical skills, and a sharp eye for detail to interpret data and convert it into actionable business insights.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain an engaging suite of reports, dashboards, and analytical tools utilizing Tableau applications, ensuring solutions are visually appealing, user-friendly, and tailored to meet a variety of business needs.
- Perform extensive data analysis, validation, and mapping/design activities, meticulously documenting processes to ensure data integrity and facilitate future enhancements.
- Create and optimize database queries to extract, transform, and join data from various sources, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of information in reporting.
- Conduct thorough unit tests to validate data accuracy, report functionality, and dashboard performance, proactively addressing any issues identified during testing.
- Prepare and maintain clear technical and user documentation for all reports and dashboards to ensure effective user adoption.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and develop meaningful metrics and key performance indicators aligned with business objectives and strategic priorities.
- Regularly assess existing reporting systems and processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify enhancements and integrate new systems or data sources as required.
