Qualis LLC is actively searching for an accomplished Space Systems Test Engineer to take on a pivotal role in our team. This position requires extensive experience and expertise in Space Systems, encompassing OPIR, MILSATCOM, Global Positioning System, and Joint Space Operations Center Mission Systems. The selected candidate will contribute significantly to test design, planning, execution, data analysis/system characterization, and reporting for operational test and evaluation. Additionally, this role will encompass responsibilities as the project manager and site team lead, stationed at Buckley Space Force Base, CO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analyses of the system performance.
- Evaluate test capabilities and identify requirements.
- Pinpoint gaps in test capabilities and develop innovative methodologies and tools.
- Determine mission-critical functions and assess potential impacts of threats on these functions.
- Design and implement tests utilizing Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.
- Review and report on the status of Systems Program Office (SPO) documentation to the test director.
- Analyze subsystem technology readiness levels and assist in translating user needs into system requirements.
- Identify Developmental Test (DT) plans from the System Program Office (SPO).
- Highlight deficiencies in DT plans and data requirements necessary for Operational Test (OT).
- Collect OT data during DT events (Integrated Testing).
- Identify suitable test tools and methods to conduct OT.
- Represent OT interests during Integrated Testing and participate in dedicated OT events.
- Analyze and characterize system performance, providing detailed reports on OT and IT&E events.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure efficient project execution and manage resources, timelines, and team performance.
- Deliver detailed reports on project status, schedules, risks, and milestones to senior leadership.
