About the job

Are you ready to defy the ordinary and drive remarkable outcomes? At Goodman, we empower you to realize your potential.

Goodman is witnessing significant growth in its development activities across France, fueled by our innovative data centre projects that enhance and diversify our established portfolio of logistics warehouses and light industrial parks. These intricate projects, characterized by multi-year development cycles, demand a high degree of technical, regulatory, and operational proficiency. Goodman's expertise in managing the entire development process—from initial feasibility studies to project delivery—serves as a vital differentiator and a key element of our success.

We are currently seeking a Technical Development Manager to enhance our development team in Paris. This role will oversee projects throughout their entire lifecycle, including feasibility studies, design, securing administrative permits, contractor tendering, and managing technical execution, primarily focused on data centre projects that are central to our growth strategy.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Sourcing Phase: Manage the due diligence process, analyze technical and urban planning constraints on sites, review regulatory frameworks, coordinate and analyze technical feasibility studies, and optimize cost estimations.
  • Design Phase: Lead the selection and management of multidisciplinary external design teams (architects, engineering consultants, health & safety coordinators, ICPE consultants, etc.), define design principles based on market expectations while collaborating closely with government agencies and local authorities, oversee grid connection applications (Enedis, RTE), and evaluate energy solutions (waste heat recovery, photovoltaics, geothermal).
  • Permitting Phase: Prepare and follow up on environmental (ICPE) and urban planning permits (demolition permit, land development permit, building permit) required for project delivery, from application preparation and administrative examination to securing final approvals.
  • Execution Phase: Prepare tenders, select construction contractors, negotiate contracts, and oversee site monitoring through to the completion of snagging.
  • Monitor schedules, budgets, and risks at every project stage and maintain regulatory oversight.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments within the company (including asset management, business development, etc.).
