Position: Technical Information and Content Specialist (Contract, On-site)
Location: Adelaide, South Australia
As a member of Sony Interactive Entertainment, the Future Technology Group (FTG) is at the forefront of the cloud gaming revolution, delivering console-quality gaming experiences across various devices, including TVs, consoles, and mobile devices.
In your role as a Technical Writer within the Global FTG Division, you will play a crucial part in creating, managing, and organizing technical documents, manuals, and process knowledge bases. Collaborating with diverse teams internationally, you will contribute to PlayStation's competitive edge by pushing the boundaries of technological possibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing, maintaining, and creating internal technical documentation related to Data Center Operations, Network Engineering, Platform Engineering, Service Reliability Engineering, and Project Management.
- Review and reorganize existing documentation; identify gaps, streamline content, and lead efforts to ensure the accuracy and consistency of documentation across the division.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and internal users to establish and maintain documentation standards and requirements.
- Translate and revise detailed documentation into clear, user-friendly 'how-to' guides for entry-level analysts and engineers.
- Provide proactive support to engineers by creating or assisting in the development of internal technical documents, standard operating procedures, and other technical documentation.
- Create and maintain relevant diagrams to support operational documentation.
